Carlsbad waltzed into their game on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Roswell Coyotes. The one-run effort marked the Cavemen/Cavegirls' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Not much got past Aubrey Hernandez, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Roswell off the board. Hernandez has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carlsbad secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Kalion Fuentes, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Carlsbad's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Roswell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.
