Basketball Recap: Max Lake Key Part of a Team Effort in Trojans Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Underwood, Sebeka was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 60-55 victory over the New York Mills Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Eagles back in December of 2024, they had to take a 69-67 defeat.

Sebeka's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Max Lake, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Lake a new career-high. Gunnar Ament was another key player, going 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points and seven boards.

Sebeka's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for New York Mills, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sebeka has already played their next contest (against Verndale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. New York Mills has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Wadena-Deer Creek.
