Basketball Recap: Hoover Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Hoover came into Thursday's game having lost 22 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Fort Dodge Dodgers by a score of 54-45 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.

Hoover's victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for Fort Dodge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoover will head out to take on Des Moines East at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Dodge, they are taking a road trip to challenge Humboldt on Monday. Humboldt will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Fort Dodge surely won't give up without a fight.
