Basketball Recap: Storm Lake St. Mary Comes Up Short

Storm Lake St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Southeast Valley Jaguars and fell 97-14. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Storm Lake St. Mary's record is now 0-7. As for Southeast Valley, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Storm Lake St. Mary will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Paton-Churdan at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Southeast Valley will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against East Sac County at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
