Recap: Carson Colts vs. Birmingham Patriots
The Carson Colts and the Birmingham Patriots squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Carson Colts had to settle for second. They took a serious blow against the Patriots, falling 35-6. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, Carson couldn't push the score so high this time.
Carson's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jerry Misaalefua, who rushed for 123 yards, and Kameryn Hurst who rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Birmingham got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ronnell Hewitt out in front who rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns. Kingston Tisdell was another key contributor, throwing for 185 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes.
Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Birmingham, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Carson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Birmingham will square off against Garfield at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Garfield is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
