Jackson is 8-2 against Clarke County since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Aggies will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. Jackson is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.
On Tuesday, Jackson got the win against Escambia County by a conclusive 19-1. Considering the Aggies have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Gabby Howard, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Madison Smith was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .929. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Escambia County only posted an OBP of .500.
Clarke County not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11, 2024. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Chickasaw a 16-0 shutout. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Jayla Horn made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Horn was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season.
In other batting news, Asharai Pugh was a standout: she scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kenlya Waters, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Jackson pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.2 runs over those games. As for Clarke County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Jackson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .459. However, it's not like Clarke County struggles in that department as they've averaged .363. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Jackson's way against Clarke County when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Jackson made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Aggies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
