Football Recap: Norwayne Piles Up the Points Against Waynedale

Norwayne extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 4-2. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Waynedale Golden Bears 48-10. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Ryder Ingold, who picked up 142 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Norwayne was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Norwayne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tate Swift and Ingold. Ingold also hauled in three receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Norwayne is undefeated when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

As for Waynedale, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 614th, while Norwayne is ranked 264th).

Waynedale's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Micah Raber, who picked up 151 receiving yards, and Maddox Kidd, who threw for 175 yards on ten of 32 attempts. Raber showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 58 yards.

Looking ahead, Norwayne will square off against Chippewa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waynedale, they will take on Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Bears will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
