Basketball Recap: Longwood Comes Up Short

After flying high against Catalyst-Maria on Monday, Longwood came back down to earth. The Longwood Panthers fell 41-33 to the King Jaguars on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 528th, while the Jaguars are ranked 255th).

Longwood's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for King, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.

Longwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for King, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on DuSable at 5:00 p.m. on February 20th.
