Basketball Recap: Tehachapi Warriors vs. East Bakersfield Blades
After losing to the East Bakersfield Blades the last time they met, the Tehachapi Warriors decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Tehachapi took down the Blades 70-51 on Tuesday.
Tehachapi was led to victory by Anthony Cerbantez and Devin Jackson. Cerbantez scored 30 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Jackson dropped a double-double on 17 points and 18 rebounds. Cerbantez continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Karson Tiewater was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Tehachapi's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16. As for East Bakersfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tehachapi will face off against the Stars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. North is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 16 games. As for East Bakersfield, they will head out on the road to face off against the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
