Basketball Recap: Willcox Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Willcox's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They snuck past the Mogollon Mustangs with a 55-50 victory. While the Cowboys didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Mogollon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Owens, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Starks, who posted 11 points.
