Basketball Recap: Kit Carson Takes a Loss

Kit Carson played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 48-14 loss at the hands of the Elbert Bulldogs. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Josiah Irwin and Brennan Framel, who each put up four points.

Ethan Tesman had a dynamite game for Elbert, going 6 for 8 on his way to 14 points along with six assists and four steals. Caleb Cornell was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 14 points and eight boards.

Kit Carson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Elbert, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Kit Carson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-50 victory against Wiley on the 17th. Elbert has also already played their next contest, a 61-42 loss against Denver Christian on the 13th.
