Lee Christian had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They rang in the new year with a 78-71 victory over the Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 70-59 back in December of 2024.

Lee Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Brown out in front who shot 4-for-4 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 boards. Brown is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Christian Wilson, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points.

Lee Christian pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Lee Christian Falcons challenge the Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cape Fear Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, they will welcome University Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Triad Baptist Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 contests -- so hopefully University Christian likes a good challenge.
