Navarre suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Navarre Raiders vs. Foley Lions

The Navarre Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Foley. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Navarre lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Darius Cunningham, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Cunningham's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Hobbs, who scored 12 points.

Even though they lost, Navarre were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 32 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Ty Hunter was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals for Foley. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Adams, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Navarre's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-4. As for Foley, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Navarre won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fort Walton Beach at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Foley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saraland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
