Recap: Cedar Creek Cougars vs. Ouachita Christian Eagles
The Cedar Creek Cougars fell victim to the Ouachita Christian Eagles''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Eagles, falling 35-0. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cedar Creek in their matchups with Ouachita Christian: they've now lost seven in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ouachita Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makin Lenard, who rushed for 64 yards and three touchdowns. Tate Hamby was another key contributor, picking up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Cedar Creek now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Ouachita Christian, their win was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-1.
Cedar Creek will square off against Lincoln Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Ouachita Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grant is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
