Volleyball Game Preview: Trinity Prep Saints vs. Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks

Trinity Prep is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, they and the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (Trinity Prep has five wins dating back to last season, while Cornerstone Charter Academy has three).

Last Wednesday, Trinity Prep earned a 3-1 victory over Evans.

Trinity Prep was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 23-25, 25-13.

Cornerstone Charter Academy extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Liam Dinsmore. Cornerstone Charter Academy blew past Orlando Science 3-0 last Tuesday thanks in part to Dinsmore, who had 17 digs and three aces. Those 17 digs gave him a new career-high.

Cornerstone Charter Academy never let Orlando Science on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-22.

Trinity Prep's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Trinity Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Cornerstone Charter Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Does Trinity Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cornerstone Charter Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
