Football Recap: Bennett Comes Up Short

Bennett was the 35-34 winner over Parkside when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Clippers lost to the Rams at home by a 35-21 margin on Thursday. While the Clippers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Rams 14-7.

Parkside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Thomas Gormley, who threw for 311 yards and five TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes. The Rams' leading receiver Tavian Dashiell was Gormley's top target yet again, picking up 194 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Bennett now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Parkside, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Bennett will take on Kent Island at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Parkside, they will challenge Colonel Richardson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
