Baseball Recap: Indian Trail Finds Home Field Redemption Against Racine Horlick

There's no place like home for Indian Trail, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let the Racine Horlick Rebels get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The result came thanks to Jack Zeller's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Indian Trail's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cade Minatto, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Indian Trail will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Lake Forest at 10:00 a.m. The Hawks are facing the Scouts at the right time seeing as the Scouts are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Racine Horlick, they will venture away from home to take on Racine Case at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
