Basketball Recap: Patrick Henry Academy Comes Up Short

Patrick Henry Academy played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 71-41 loss at the hands of the Dorchester Academy Raiders. The Patriots were down 57-28 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sophie Westendorf, who posted four points and four steals. Westendorf has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Sara Guty was another key player, going 7-for-12 on her way to 14 points.

Patrick Henry Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Dorchester Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-5.
