Soccer Recap: New Smyrna Beach Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against University

There's no place like home for New Smyrna Beach, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let the University Titans onto the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday. Given the Barracudas' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Titans are ranked 372nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Smyrna Beach's victory bumped their record up to 8-1-4. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Smyrna Beach will host Spruce Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University, they will challenge Winter Springs at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
