Baseball Recap: Tri-Valley Extends Winning Streak to Three

Tri-Valley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Richwoods Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since April 24, 2024.

Caiden Dehner and Isaiah Alexander did most of the damage at the plate: Dehner scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5, while Alexander scored a run while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits Dehner has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Danko, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Richwoods, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Tri-Valley will challenge Prairie Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Prairie Central has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something Tri-Valley will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Richwoods, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Peoria at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
