Softball Preview: Gorham Rams vs. Marshwood Hawks

Gorham and Marshwood are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Rams will be playing at home against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gorham is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Gorham was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Noble on Wednesday. The Rams were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Knights. The Rams have beaten the Knights the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Knights has come to flipping the script.

Maddy Leeper was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
