Gorham and Marshwood are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Rams will be playing at home against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gorham is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Gorham was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Noble on Wednesday. The Rams were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Knights. The Rams have beaten the Knights the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Knights has come to flipping the script.

Maddy Leeper was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Gorham got a massive performance out of Terra Rioux, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave Rioux a new career-high. Sawyer VonderHaar was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Gorham kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Marshwood was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They came up short against Biddeford, falling 15-1.
Gorham's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Marshwood, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Everything went Gorham's way against Marshwood when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Gorham made off with a 10-0 win. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
