If Gilbert was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Horse Creek Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell just short of the Spring Valley Vikings by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Gilbert's loss dropped their record down to 17-3. As for Spring Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilbert will challenge White Knoll at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Spring Valley, they will be taking part in a tournament against Dutch Fork at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Silver Foxes' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
