Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Thornapple Kellogg

Thornapple Kellogg hadn't done well against Byron Center recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Thornapple Kellogg Trojans snuck past the Byron Center Bulldogs with a 46-40 victory. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Thornapple Kellogg's third in a row) raised their record to 10-12. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points on average over those games.
