Football Game Preview: West Henderson Falcons vs. North Henderson Knights + How To Watch

West Henderson has gone 8-2 against North Henderson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Falcons will face off against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, West Henderson ended up a good deal behind Brevard and lost 41-27.

Despite their defeat, West Henderson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Zane McCraw, who rushed for 167 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 50 receiving yards, was perhaps the best of all. McCraw's longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards. Zach McMinn also helped out with an impressive 137 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, North Henderson played a tough game last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 42-21 to Franklin. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Panthers are ranked 76th).

West Henderson will have to contain Parker Willis as he made an impact in North Henderson's last game. He rushed for 165 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Willis is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 138 every time he's taken the field this season.

West Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for North Henderson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: McCraw and Willis. McCraw just won't slow down this season and has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 153.8 rushing yards per game. Willis has been a dominant force too and has run in 19 touchdowns while averaging 195.4 rushing yards per game.

West Henderson was able to grind out a solid victory over North Henderson when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 20-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
