Basketball Recap: Middleton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Madison East last Thursday, Middleton came back down to earth. The Middleton Cardinals fell just short of the Monona Grove Silver Eagles by a score of 65-63 on Saturday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Silver Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Middleton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Monona Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Cardinals coming up. Sun Prairie East will need to watch out since Middleton has now posted at least 55 points in their last 12 games. As for Monona Grove, they will face off against Oregon at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
