Basketball Game Preview: Memphis Business Academy Execs vs. Trezevant Bears

Memphis Business Academy is 8-2 against Trezevant since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Memphis Business Academy Execs will be playing at home against the Trezevant Bears at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Trezevant will be up against a hot Memphis Business Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Memphis Business Academy claimed a resounding 93-40 win over Crosstown. The Execs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Memphis Business Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Larry Benson led the charge by shooting 6-for-8 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 assists. Meanwhile, Trezevant had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Memphis Rise Academy to the tune of 70-43 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bears have posted since January 29, 2024.

Memphis Business Academy pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.2 points. As for Trezevant, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-14.

Memphis Business Academy strolled past Trezevant in their previous matchup on Friday by a score of 82-63. Will Memphis Business Academy repeat their success, or does Trezevant have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
