Independence had lost three matches on the road, but after bumping their record up to 11-9 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Frisco Raccoons, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted against the Raccoons since August 30, 2019.

As for Frisco, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-14. Raccoons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Independence since Friday.

Despite the loss, Frisco had strong showings from Madison Wolf, who had 11 digs and 11 assists, and Heidi Clauss, who had three digs and one assist.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Independence will take on rival Lebanon Trail at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Frisco is set to face off against their familiar foe Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
