Football Recap: Medina Skates Past Leakey with Ease

Medina won the last time they faced Leakey and things went their way on Friday too. The Bobcats blew past the Eagles 75-30. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 45 points or more this season.

Leakey's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Hernandez, who rushed for 66 yards and one score.

The victory made it two in a row for Medina and bumps their season record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Leakey, they dropped their record down to 4-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Medina does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leakey, they will welcome Nueces Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.44 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
