Football Game Preview: American Leadership Academy Eagles vs. South Summit Wildcats

American Leadership Academy is 0-8 against South Summit since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 964 yards in their previous games.

American Leadership Academy will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up ten points last Friday, then bounced right back against Providence Hall on Friday. The Eagles secured a 31-26 W over the Patriots. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The critical scores for American Leadership Academy came from Wyatt Hopkins, Jaxton Dengin, Mason Ober, and Bradley Sheranian.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but South Summit ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Summit Academy by a score of 41-34.

South Summit's win came from a few key players American Leadership Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ian Mair, who rushed for 65 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Bryce Pulver was another key player, rushing for 126 yards and one score on only 11 carries.

South Summit was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 277 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

American Leadership Academy's record now sits at 3-4. As for South Summit, their record is now an identical 3-4.

Things could have been worse for American Leadership Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-21 loss to South Summit in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
