Baseball Game Preview: Cascade Bruins vs. Arlington Eagles

For the second straight game, Cascade will face off against Arlington. The Bruins will take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Cascade is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Cascade managed to slip by Arlington the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bruins came up short against the Eagles on Friday, falling 8-2.

For Arlington's part, the team relied heavily on Billy Kooy, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Kooy has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least one home run, but 5-8 otherwise. Avery Klein was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Arlington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cascade only managed three hits.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Arlington, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.
