Byrd and Parkway are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Yellow Jackets will venture away from home to face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Byrd will be strutting in after a win while Parkway will be coming in after a defeat.

Byrd's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Haynesville. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.

Meanwhile, Parkway didn't have quite enough to beat Natchitoches Central on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Byrd's victory bumped their record up to 13-20-1. As for Parkway, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17.

Byrd suffered a grim 13-7 defeat to Parkway in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Yellow Jackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
