Volleyball Recap: Esmeralda Frausto and Sofia Amaya Secure Win for Golden Valley + How To Watch

Golden Valley's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Rosamond Roadrunners as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Bulldogs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 26-24, 28-26.

Golden Valley was led to victory by Sofia Amaya and Esmeralda Frausto. Amaya had 18 digs and two aces, while Frausto had eight digs and two aces. What's more, Frausto racked up 16 assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Golden Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-5-1. As for Rosamond, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Coming up, Golden Valley will challenge East Bakersfield at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rosamond, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Desert at 5:00 p.m. on September 9. This will be the Roadrunners' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
