Baseball Recap: South East's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

South East can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Chavez Eagles. That looming 5-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Jaguars yet this season.

Delonte Jones was incredible, scoring a run and stealing five bases while going 3-for-3. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Randy Toscano was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

South East's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Chavez, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.

Looking ahead, South East will head out to face off against South Gate at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chavez, they will welcome Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
