Basketball Recap: Kickapoo Sets Scoring Season-High Against De Soto

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kickapoo). They managed a 63-58 win over the De Soto Pirates on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Kickapoo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for De Soto, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kickapoo will host Brookwood at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Kickapoo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for De Soto, they will welcome Wauzeka-Steuben at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wauzeka-Steuben will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something De Soto surely won't give up without a fight.
