Basketball Recap: Elmwood Comes Up Short

Elmwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 39-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tinora Rams. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 665th, while the Rams are ranked 218th).

Elmwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Tinora, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Looking ahead, Elmwood will welcome Eastwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elmwood is facing Eastwood at the right time seeing as Eastwood is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Tinora does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
