La Jolla Country Day took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Santana by a score of 3-1.

La Jolla Country Day had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Coastal Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Orange Glen on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Stingrays in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won eight in a row.

Coastal Academy's record now sits at 11-12. As for La Jolla Country Day, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 9-19.
