Jackson and Mariner played the most hotly contested game in 4A Wesco - South this week, with Jackson eventually emerging with a 35-32 victory.
Edmonds-Woodway made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,229 from 3,882. The advance stemmed from a 28-16 victory over Kamiak last week.
The Warriors' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Davis Giles threw for 174 yards and Lee Anderson had 123 yards receiving. On the ground Desmond Young chipped in 127 yards. Mac McLachan helped Edmonds-Woodway's passing attack out by catching two balls for 26 yards.
Kamiak's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brett Ludeman has thrown for 855 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Gabe Meshesha has 14 catches for 228 yards. Austin Hall leads the league in rushing with 872 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Timberwolves take on Cascade. As it stands, Jackson is in first, while the Bruins are in fifth.
Joel Vincent's team led 4A Wesco - South in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on the Marauders.
