            Softball Recap: Milford Spartans vs. Manchester West Blue Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Milford). They were the clear victors by  a  25-3 margin over the Manchester West Blue Knights on Wednesday. The  win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Blue Knights: they've now won six in a row.

 Livi Mazzeo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Mazzeo was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances with four  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 2.2  runs per game.
 In other batting news,  Arabelle Danforth was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, five  runs,  and three  RBI. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 2.4  runs per game. Another player making a difference was  Sophie Decoteau, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  runs and one  RBI.
 Milford  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .667. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Milford's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Manchester West,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milford will venture away from home to  challenge Souhegan  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Sabers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.8  runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Manchester West, they will head out to  face off against Hollis-Brookline  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
