On Wednesday, everything went the Coronado Mustangs's way against the Caprock Longhorns as the Coronado Mustangs made off with a 5-1 win. Considering the Mustangs have won six games by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Caprock with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aliette Villanueva (2), Julia Pesina, Dannika Morin, and Jocelyn Alvarez.

The victory made it two in a row for Coronado and bumps their season record up to 9-6. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-17 Plainview and 2-11 Caprock. As for Caprock, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Coronado will venture away from home to take on Lubbock at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Coronado is facing Lubbock at the right time seeing as Lubbock is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Caprock, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plainview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Caprock will be up against Plainview's rather soft defense (which has allowed 9.59 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
