Basketball Recap: Loara Comes Up Short

Loara was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 60-52 to the Western Pioneers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saxons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-50 back in December of 2024.

Loara's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Western, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Santa Ana Valley the next time they take the court. Western will host Santa Ana Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Loara will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
