Softball Recap: Spring Creek Gators vs. North Johnston Panthers

After flying high against Beddingfield last Tuesday, Spring Creek came back down to earth. The Spring Creek Gators took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Johnston Panthers on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for Spring Creek in their matchups with North Johnston: they've now lost six in a row.

Emily Williams was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and seven unearned) runs off seven hits. Williams has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Williams was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Jasmine Valentine was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-3 with a home run, four stolen bases, and two runs.
