Honaker is a perfect 4-0 against Rural Retreat since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Neither Honaker nor Rural Retreat posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Honaker is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Chilhowie just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Honaker saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadence Rose, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Rural Retreat had taken Holston down for five straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Indians fell 4-1 to the Cavaliers.

Rural Retreat has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Honaker, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-3.

Honaker came out on top in a nail-biter against Rural Retreat when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
