Football Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Westwood's last matchup with Martin County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Panthers were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 43-6. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Even if they lost, Westwood's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Malachi Francios, Gregory Merrick, and Lorenzo Edmond, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Martin County can attribute much of their success to Paul Hendrix, who rushed for 81 yards and one TD. Manny Louis was in the mix as well, providing the Tigers with two touchdowns.

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Martin County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Westwood has already played their next contest, a 48-8 victory against Zephyrhills Christian Academy on the 19th. As for Martin County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 21-10 win against Dr. Joaquin Garcia on the 19th.
