Wellsboro has gone 8-2 against Williamson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wellsboro Hornets will host the Williamson Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Wellsboro is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, Wellsboro came up short against Wyalusing Valley and fell 51-40. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while the Rams are ranked 225th).

Meanwhile, Williamson also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Cowanesque Valley by a score of 56-47. The Warriors were up 40-23 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Wellsboro will need focus on slowing down Bailey Snyder, one of several Williamson players who made an impact when they last played. She posted ten points along with six assists and four steals. Snyder continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Meisner, who went 6 of 12 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Wellsboro's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Williamson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Wellsboro couldn't quite finish off Williamson in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 and fell 28-25. Can Wellsboro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
