Baseball Recap: Rangeview Takes a Loss

Rangeview extended their losing streak to eight on Saturday, dropping them down to 5-14. They came up short against the Montbello Warriors, falling 18-7. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 14-1 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Colten Burch was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Rangeview is 2-1 when Burch posts three or more hits, but 3-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ryan Luevanos, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

As for Montbello, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 4-12 record. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

On Montbello's side, they got a massive performance out of Zacchaeus Martin, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Martin has posted since back in March. Jonathan Esparza was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rangeview is set to challenge their familiar foe Denver East at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Montbello will take on rival George Washington at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
