Recap: Neodesha Blue Streaks vs. West Elk Patriots
The Neodesha Blue Streaks lost against the West Elk Patriots last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Neodesha received a tough blow as they fell 56-40 to West Elk. Neodesha has struggled against West Elk recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Maddex Moreno was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and six steals for West Elk. The contest was Moreno's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Uriah Tillapaugh was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Neodesha's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-3. As for West Elk, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neodesha will square off against Humboldt on Friday. Humboldt's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Neodesha's offense will have their work cut out for Neodesha. As for West Elk, they will head out on the road to face off against Fredonia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
