Basketball Game Preview: Richton Rebels vs. South Pike Eagles

The Richton Rebels will take on the South Pike Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Richton has given up an average of 56.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

While Richton's victory against Purvis wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-59 win over the Tornadoes on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rebels have posted since February 15th.

Jaden Husband was a one-man wrecking crew as he went 6-for-12 en route to 26 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Those 26 points gave him a new career-high. Daylin Carter was another key player, putting up 13 points and eight rebounds.

Richton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They are 3-1 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Meanwhile, South Pike was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 49-44 to North Pike.

South Pike's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Richton, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
