Volleyball Recap: Crosby Takes a Loss

Crosby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Derby Red Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 27-25, 25-20.

Crosby's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Derby, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Crosby will take on rival Seymour at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Derby is set to face off against their familiar foe Naugatuck at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
