Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Vernon). They were the clear victor by a 15-7 margin over the Edgewood Bulldogs on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Carsen Summerlin, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierson Clayton, who got no hits from his two at bats.

Mount Vernon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .522. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Mount Vernon back to even at 5-5. As for Edgewood, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
