Soccer Game Preview: Walton vs. Rutherford

The Walton Braves will face off against the Rutherford Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Walton came up short against Rocky Bayou Christian and fell 4-2. The loss continues a trend for Walton in their meetings with Rocky Bayou Christian: they've now lost three in a row.

Israel Ramirez and Alan Renteria scored both of Walton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Meanwhile, Rutherford's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Mosley by a score of 3-2.

Rutherford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Walton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Walton was able to grind out a solid win over Rutherford when the teams last played back in January, winning 4-2. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
